My greatest muse is my family

There’s a memory I’ve held onto from my childhood that means a great deal to me. If I close my eyes I can see my grandfather setting up his Kodak slide projector and dimming the lights to share his collection of slides with us. We huddled together on the floral sofa in the living room and listened to Grandpa tell stories about his parents and other long past family members. Though they’d left us to carry on without them, all these years later we still felt connected to them through these photos. Photos that told a story and gave a glimpse into their world. 

I became enamored with the way that you can be moved by simply looking through images. When I got married, I cried as I looked through our wedding album and was able to relive the best day of my life. And now today, I look back on images of my baby when he was first born and marvel at how fleeting time is. I am so grateful to have these little snapshots to carry with me as the years go on.

Photography to me is a way to pass down your legacy from generation to generation. It’s a way to freeze moments in time and create a little bit of magic. Whether you are in the beginning stages of planning your wedding, expecting a new baby or just looking to get some updated family portraits, I hope to walk alongside you through whatever stage of life you are in. One of my clients told me that I’m stuck with them forever, and I would love more than anything to be your photographer for life.
