It is my greatest honor to document your family as it grows. From announcing your pregnancy, to the day you say “see you later” to your first born as they head off to college, relationships grow and change over time. Every season is special and unique. That is why it is so important to remember these seasons as they come. And what better way to do that than through timeless images.

My Signature Process
I. The Consultation
Once I receive your inquiry, I will reach out and we can schedule a time to talk more about your vision for your session. This is the time to think about what type of session you are looking for, what you are hoping to document, when you would like your session to take place, etc.. Bring any and all of the questions and ideas. We’ll set a plan for your session and our time will end with me sending you a contract to secure your date.
II. Style Guide
The most stressful part about a photo session is choosing what to wear! That is why I have curated a style guide specific to portrait sessions and when you book a session with me, I will share that guide with you. It goes over all of the details like what fabrics photograph best and what colors compliment each other. You can rest assured that you will show up to your session looking like the best version of yourself!
III. Your Session
We’ve made it to the fun part! All you need to do now is relax and trust me! We’ll start out our time with some classic poses- everyone smiling and looking at the camera. And then I like to step back and watch as the magic unfolds. My style of photography is candid and natural- capturing those in between giggles, nose crinkles and stolen kisses is what I live for. During every session my goal is to make you feel confident and comfortable while documenting the relationships within your family in their truest form.
IV. Image Delivery
All of my portrait sessions will be delivered within 3 weeks after your session. You will receive an email from me with a link to your online gallery with all of the high resolution digital images. From there, you can save, share and print your photos.
I’ve had the privilege of photographing the Bernier Family for the past 3 years. Each year I am amazed at how much they’ve grown and changed. It is such an honor to be able to grow alongside their family. We always laugh so much during our time together and can always get a few extra smiles out of the kids by telling them “one more smile and then you get a happy meal!”. Photographing their family is so special to me.

When the weather is 70 degrees in the middle of October, you know it’s going to be a great day! We ran around the fields as the golden light chased us. The girls snuggled up with their mama for some really sweet moments and then dad swooped in and chased them through the orchard. The moments in between have and always will be my favorite.
The Hanson Family
Katie and Brad have the sweetest little family! Their two girls are adorable and they loved being in front of the camera. We had fun playing in the apple orchard and captured some wonderful memories.

The snuggly newborn sessions are my favorite! What’s better than loving on a new baby? I honestly can’t think of anything. Nicole and John have a beautiful family and I loved capturing the sweet moments with their new baby, Brooks.

Depending on where your session takes place, I come prepared with some blankets and smaller props. If you would like anything else, let me know and we can discuss this prior to your session.
Do we need to bring props?
The way I shoot is very natural, so I’m not afraid of some tears. I think that they actually tell a beautiful story and are a part of life. But I do know how important those smiling images are. Being a mom myself, I come prepared with a lot of ways to engage with your children. And if for some reason they just aren’t feeling it, we can call it a day and try for another time. But in all of my years of doing this, I’ve never had that happen!
What if my child cries?
I always tell my clients that the first two hours of the day and the last two hours of the day are ideal times. That is when the sun is lowest in the sky and it creates that beautiful golden glow.
What is the best time of day to take photos?
Yes! Every season I offer at least one mini session day. You can sign up to be added to my email list to be the first to know about upcoming mini sessions.
Do you offer mini sessions?
I am always keeping an eye on the weather and together we can make the call if we need to reschedule the session due to bad weather.
What happens if the weather is bad?
I require a 50% deposit to be paid to secure your date. The remaining 50% is due on or before your session.
