Amanda and Patrick’s winter wedding was one for the books! I knew that with Amanda, being a wedding planner herself, the day would be incredible, but it exceeded my every expectation.
From the beautiful tudor style home on East Ave where she and her bridesmaids got ready to the awe inspiring cathedral where her and Patrick vowed their forevers to each other, and to the intimate and moody reception space at Arbor Loft. Not one detail was overlooked.
Our day started out capturing some detailed shots of jewelry and invitation suites. We also made sure to capture some of the girls and guys getting ready. My second shooter, Taurie, worked with the guys, while I stayed with the girls.
Once the girls were glammed up, we went upstairs and took some fun shots of the girls in their robes. Then everyone left so that Amanda could get into her dress with the help of her mom and sister.
I love these slow moments where I am able to step back and witness the real emotions that come from a mother seeing her daughter for the first time all dressed up in her wedding dress. It is such a beautiful moment to experience.
We took our time, making sure to capture Amanda in all of her beauty inside the most gorgeous home. Then we made our way down to the first floor where Amanda saw her bridesmaids for the first time and she put on her cape!
After some family formals in the living room, we headed off to go get Amanda and Pat married!
The ceremony was a traditional catholic ceremony located in what I believe is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Rochester, Sacred Heart.
Of course we couldn’t skip getting portraits outside in front of the cathedral! And once those were done, we headed over to a rooftop garage for some of my favorite shots of the day, Husband and Wife portraits.
We all embraced the cold while Amanda and Pat radiated their love for one another. Their joy was contagious and we genuinely had so much fun dancing around the top of the parking garage in freezing temperatures. But I don’t think any of us would have changed it!
Now it was time for the reception. Amanda put her trust in her friends to make the reception unforgettable and they did just that! The florals hung beautifully above the tables, the lighting was intimate and warm and everything was so inviting!
Halfway through the reception, Amanda changed outfits and wowed everyone with her mother’s wedding dress that she had altered into a gorgeous top. Toasts were made, first dances and parent dances ensued and everyone was having a wonderful time.
We took the whole bridal party outside for some fun champagne popping pictures. This group knows how to have a party and have fun. It was freezing, but they were all for spraying champagne all over the streets and themselves to get these incredible and unforgettable shots!
Frozen and covered in champagne, everyone went back inside and had the time of their lives dancing the night away!
It was truly a day and night to remember and I am so honored to have been a part of it. Thank you, Amanda and Pat. Your love is radiant!
